{"id":52,"date":"2024-12-22T20:36:37","date_gmt":"2024-12-22T19:36:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/smartnest.be\/?page_id=52"},"modified":"2024-12-22T20:36:37","modified_gmt":"2024-12-22T19:36:37","slug":"about-our-home","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/smartnest.be\/index.php\/about-our-home\/","title":{"rendered":"About our home"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SmartNest.be was created in 2024 to share our journey towards a smarter and more energy efficient home through data and information specific to Belgium and Brussels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our house is located in Brussels and is fully electric with 3-phases, a geothermal heat pump (Nibe F1145), a mechanical ventilation (Zehnder ComfoAir), solar panels (18 x 405W panels and an 5kW inverter from SMA)  and an electric car (Tesla Model Y).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Home automation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The brain of our smart house is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.home-assistant.io\">Home Assistant<\/a> running on an old Mac Mini running as much as possible locally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Power monitoring and control:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On top of the integrated power monitoring from the solar panels and ventilation units, we have the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>P1 meter from HomeWizard to measure the power consumed from the network and injected to the network on all three phases.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Power plugs from HomeWizard and Shelly to measure\/control the consumption of individual devices<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shelly PM Mini to monitor the power consumption of some devices directly in the plug<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shelly 1 Mini to control some switches <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Other events<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Shelly Blu Door\/Window to have some automation based on opening\/closing doors and window<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shelly Blu H&amp;T to track temperature and humidity in some rooms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Awair Element to track the temperature, humidity, CO2, VOC, PM2.5 in some rooms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SmartNest.be was created in 2024 to share our journey towards a smarter and more energy efficient home through data and information specific to Belgium and Brussels.
